Brush 3-4 times weekly with a slicker brush and wide-toothed comb. Their dense, flat, silky coat with abundant feathering on the ears, chest, belly, and legs requires thorough, consistent attention. Focus on the heavy ear feathering and the profuse chest and belly hair where mats form. An undercoat rake helps manage the dense underlayer.

Bathing Tips

Bathe every 3-4 weeks with a whitening shampoo -- their predominantly white coat shows every stain. Use a heavy conditioner on the feathering to prevent tangles. Their substantial build means professional bathing is often easier than at home. Dry thoroughly, especially in the dense feathering areas.
